If your primary concern is problems in your relationship I can help you and your partner to create a healthy, satisfying and deep emotional connection by providing:
A safe space for you and your partner to open up about your current difficulties and desires
Feedback on relationship patterns that interfere with intimacy and satisfaction in your relationship
Healthy communication strategies so that you and your partner can safely discuss even the most difficult topics
Hands-on practice with coaching, as well as worksheets and assignments to help you successfully learn and implement these communication strategies at home
Support as you create a plan for nurturing friendship, fun, and intimacy in your relationship over the long-term
Please know that successful couples therapy can be hard work, and it requires that you commit to:
Giving 100% of your efforts to the improvement of the relationship
Be willing to look at and acknowledge your own role in the relationship problems
Agree to do home assignments as directed to solidify and build on the skills I will share with you
Please also note that we may not be a good fit to work together if your relationship is in severe distress, you are looking for help to recover from an affair, or if there is current domestic abuse in your relationship. If we discover that we are not a good fit to work together I would be happy to offer you a referral to another qualified therapist.
Finally, it is important for you to know that using insurance to cover couples therapy comes with important caveats and limitations.
